Our gastronomy principles

  • We offer food prepared from fresh, available, seasonal raw materials. Thus the following dishes only show the possibilities, we always cook those for which we have quality, fresh material. It can happen that we will have pheasant and rabbit instead of duck and lamb when you visit us, but you can be sure that we are waiting for you with fresh and high quality food.

  • We proceed local raw materials, if possible, we grow and produce the ingredients, or buy these from the local producers, from controlled sources. No Lidl, Metro, etc.

  • We ourselves grow the herbs and vegetables and prepare the jams, and serve these seasonally. We would like to raise the small animals as well in the near future.

  • We reach back to the region’s gastronomy traditions, our kitchen is dominated by the local dishes, but we are preparing a new menu, which would try to renew the Hungarian cuisine.

  • We use the less possible processed materials, we bake bread, crescents and patties, and we prepare the strudel pasta as well. Sausages, salamis and soup pasta are also prepared locally. Bread is prepared with traditional sourdough and baked in the beehive oven.

Dishes fried in the beehive oven

We built a traditional beehive oven in the castle garden. The home-made bread and bread scone made of bread pasta baked in the oven, served with garlic and sour cream are real specialities. The pig and the lamb are fried in the oven after several days of marinating, ad thus it becomes crisp in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The price depends on the number of participants.
